An uncomfortable silence surrounded the area as they remained in their positions, quietness was all round and nothing seemed to move or change the scenery, all that was appearing was the silence and their stares of awe locking to each other, this changed as Dawn said his name and it made the boy stand up quickly as he prepared himself for anything that might have happened, this time he knew what to expect from her.
Her yell almost stunned him into the same set position for a minute or so, the sound almost piercing his hearing until all that could be heard was a straight, thin line of sound covered most of what he could hear, if it got worse then he didn’t want to get into that situation. “Wha-?” His moment of unawareness began to catch up to him, realizing what she meant eventually.
Before he could even say anything else on the matter, she just told him to go, he was unable both physically and mentally to do so, especially not if she hadn’t been to the region she was in before, even after what happened.. It wouldn’t be like him to leave her stranded. “No.” His tone was adamant, biting on the inside of his lip as he said it wondering if he would regret it later or not.
“You’re not a monster.. You just need help..” He was being honest, from what he knew she sometimes wasn’t herself and if she needed to let it out.. Then it would be best to just accept it and hope that it doesn’t leave much long lasting results, it could be seen that she was confused and needed some sort of support, though it was questionable if Brendan could suffice it.
She was so sure that he would leave. He lied when he said they were friends and that he accepted her for the way she is. As much as she knew he was didn’t tell her the truth, something inside of her held onto the hope that he wasn’t. It was just so stupid that she thought someone just may have stuck to her even with her disorder. Another tear fell down as she continued to think about it..
Her mind was a big mess, when she thought about the trainer that was in front of her. Dawn saw all of it, when Dusk would hurt people. Images appeared into her dreams which made them in nightmares so quickly. The thing was, Dawn wasn’t living it, she was watching it instead. Dusk was her own person when it came to those things, all Dawn did was watch as the flesh split apart with blood coming out soon after. Almost didn’t feel real, but it was so real and people have the scars to prove it.
Dawn’s trail of thought was broken when Brendan said no. He was actually speaking to her, not running away as fast as he could.. Only a few words, but it was all she needed to feel.. There was just no words good enough for her to decide to use.. Oh, her mind could not take this.. Far too much to handle..
“How? Brendan there is no..” The girl’s words drifted off. Would she really tell him that? What if he really was so afraid that he was willing to get her help about her problem. Slowly, she shook her head while the tears continued to fall one by one. Many times, her mom looked and looked and ended up with nothing.
There was so cure to her disorder.
Yes, there was help, but it was a very long process and what were the chances of it to work for her? She was stuck like this forever and she can’t change it even if she tried.. Control. That was all she needed to be stable enough to make it through. Though, she did not have enough of that right now.. Emotions played a strong part in it. All the time, her mood changed a lot no matter what.. At least she knew already.. Dawn would never be..
The weather in Hoenn had started to do it’s usual routine of changing abruptly in the regular areas and the pathway Brendan was walking was no exception, drizzle fell down the road he was wandering down and the boy wanted to avoid it all since dealing with wet clothes was a less than desirable feeling, especially if later it got warm and the fabrics on his shirt would tighten on his body a little.
Passing through a small forest, he noted Pokémon like Shroomish occasionally popping out and scavenging the partially damp patches on the ground. It made him somewhat cautious since that could mean Breloom were nearby and a provoked one has been proven to be a threat to deal with so it was best to just get through and not take extra notes on these things, even if they did seem interesting to the boy for some odd reason.
A thud was heard as he wandered past a few darker regions of the wooded area, his head quickly turned to see if anything had changed or if there was something falling over, nothing appeared to be any different to what it was like before. Still, he was curious and followed the source of the sound the best he could, his hearing senses did show promise, especially at a younger age when something was hiding and making rustling noises in the grass or trees, but these things were far from prominent to him as he just tries to focus.
An unclear figure was seen not too far ahead and it was hesitantly approached in case he appeared and caused panic somehow, a gut feeling said that it was a person that likely hurt their leg tripping so going with that reason alone, he went on and went on one knee at a somewhat close range to see more at eye level, at first it looked to be someone that had fallen over and not much else, it was far from just any regular person though, it was..
The was all over his face, clear to tell even if she didn’t look at his face. All of them ended up that way, if they didn’t play along with her little games. Painful, rough games that could last sometime if she wasn’t caught.. Dawn couldn’t control her, why did people even blame her for that?! Surely, Brendan hated her, feared her and he would probably run. She was actually surprise he didn’t run right away..
With Brendan, everything was completely different from the other victims since.. Why was it different when it came to Brendan? Someone she barely knew and was in a different region.. Had she really come to Hoenn for beaches or did something else attracted her here? It just wasn’t fair at all.. What Brendan had done to her.. He lied to her right to her face and he wouldn’t take it back! Not fair, not fair, not fair at all!
“Brendan..” As much as she tried to keep calm, her anger got the better of her. This time, it was Dawn’s anger. “YOU STUPID, STUPID LIAR! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME? LIE TO ME LIKE THAT!” Her yells were so loud, that even Pokemon ran away from the scene. “HOW.. W-Why? Even.. af.. ter.. M-Mean.” Tears fell down her face as she choked on her words. Now she knew why she was so upset with him.. At least like this, Dawn would have some closure, but Brendan on the other hand..
This was so stupid and she was so stupid for being angry with him.. She knew it was a lie, yet she still believed him? He even said that after what had happened and then.. Taking a deep breath, she tried to keep calm and act like she was normal again. Moving her hand to wipe her tears for only more to pour out instead. How upsetting and rude and just so sad..
Gulping to be able to speak again to make him leave.. “Just go.” Shaking, she was actually shaking from this. Too much to handle all at once and it was just selfish.. Brendan should be the one shaking, not her! Everything about her was selfish and she just couldn’t help herself.. Lonely, she was just so lonely and wanted to be loved by a friend. They had all forgotten about her, no, they didn’t even want to be near her.. “I am a monster.” Dawn didn’t notice she said that out loud. In fact, she didn’t even know if Brendan was still there. The tears made it hard to see and attempting to wipe them away wasn’t helping.
Her mind went blank from all other thoughts.. Other than one thought that stood there, repeating itself making Dawn want to say it so bad. The reason why she was so lonely was… To push people away, to protect them before they even got hurt! … Brendan was one of the people she didn’t save. Then her thought..
Don’t run away, her single selfish thought.
Walking through the some sort of forest, the navy eyed girl felt so lost in the Hoenn region. Her first trip here and she already felt so out of place due to her attire.. Many times she had heard the Hoenn region is a warm place, but it felt so hot compared to Sinnoh’s high temperature. Setting her bag on the ground, she took off her jacket to feel more cool. “Great!” Dawn let out a cheer and then quickly looked around to make sure no one had heard her. Picking up her bag and hold her jacket, she continued to go search for a nice beach.
The only reason to come to Hoenn was for a beach! How she felt like she wanted to swim in a nice place, not cold Sinnoh! Unova also had a nice beach place, but Dawn wanted to catch some Hoenn Pokemon first. One Pokemon had caught her attention when she was studying about Hoenn. Right away, she knew that nothing would stop her from getting that Pokemon! Keep on going to be the best trainer ever!
After some time, Dawn noticed that she had not seen one beach or at least a lake of some sort. This worried her a lot. Perhaps she should have stayed in Sinnoh, she knew her way around there. No, this was to escape from there and nothing would stop her from enjoying this! All trainers got lost in at some point and Dawn was no different from them. Heck, she was the pride of Sinnoh.. Or something like that! Yeah, she was a great trainer..
Taking a turn, the girl saw some familiar clothes.. Strange hat and some bike shorts? Looked so funny… … It made her heart drop right away when she finally put it together. Stepping back, Dawn had tripped and fell on her butt. This was far too much for her to take right now, but she had to be strong. What were the chances had even heard her? Really, she didn’t fall that hard.. Just a bit to make some pain, but she refused to make anymore noise.
Light heartbeats quickly turned into fast and loud ones. This was certainly bad and she just knew he would be upset with her.. With everything she had done to him and everything that she was.. No, everything that she is and will probably forever be like that.. No one would save her…
Everything was blurry and she could barely see where she was going. Actually, she couldn’t see where she was going at all. The blizzard was that harsh.. How could the trainers that hung around here do that? Just stay here and walk around.. Those lucky trainers with goggles! Dragging herself since the ground had so much snow, she began to feel tired.. Which was odd, this had never happened before, or at least here. Dawn could sleep right here if she wanted to.. Wait, how long had she been walking? No time to rest..
After dragging herself some more, she finally could see where she was going. Why had this happened to her.. How strange. Walking was easier now, she was close to Snowpoint City.. She wasn’t too fond of the city, but for some reason.. It attracted her for now. “I’m just so lonely.” Her eyes began to water, but she shook it off. No, she wouldn’t break down. Dawn was far too strong now, she wouldn’t let herself to fall under and become.. That.
Opening her bag and taking out a Pokeball, she let out her Glaceon. “Glace, would you like to lay down with me?” The Pokemon didn’t question her, yet it said nothing.. Not even move. Slowly, she got down and rested on the snow. Glace got near her and gave out a cry. He gave her comfort.
Hearing footsteps, she didn’t move. “Hello.” Dawn called out to the nearby person.
“…. hm? I wouldn’t say quite that good.” she says, not really knowing how to say how good she was. Her bosses called her average, more like below, she never liked battling, but always… there’s a situation where she has to battle. “I’m quite… below… average. Not really good.”
“Oh..” How interesting.. It puzzled her if she should say she is champion.. Soon, she would get back to battling to take her mind off of certain things. “Try harder and you might get better! I’m willing to help you if you want me to!” Helping people is the right thing to do! Right?
She blinked for a bit. ‘She’s lonely?’ Lucia thought she was a bit too… cheerful for lonely, but it seemed she was wrong. “Yes. Yes I am….” Should she just say that’s she’s a part of Team Galactic? Or …. just let it low for now? “… I’m a trainer.”
“You are?” Dawn gave Lucia a wide smile. This was very strange for her since Lucia was just so quiet.. Sure, she has met other quiet people, but Lucia looked a lot like Lucas and.. “That’s cool.. Er, how good are you at battling?” Come on, just forget about that Dawn and move on..
